The Carroll County Fair is very excited to once again host 2nd and 3rd graders for the Ag Education Days.  The schools will enjoy the educational full day field trip.

The theme for 2017  was From Farm to Table“.

The tentative Schedule will be as follows:

9:00-9:15 am-Buses Arrive

 9:15-9:25 am-Welcome (in the Arena Area)

 9:25-9:55 am-Opening Event “Old Timey Days”

10:00-11:43 am-Station Rotation

11:45-12:20 pm-LUNCH

12:23-2:00 pm-Station Rotation

2:00-2:10 pm-Load Buses

  • Please, listen for the air horn to signal station rotation
  • Please, follow your guide as he/she leads you to your next station

 Goal of Ag Education Days:  Introduce students to local agriculture

Objectives of Ag Education Days at the Fair:

  • Provide students hands-on agricultural experience
  • Demonstrate to students role agriculture plays in everyday life
  • Teach students need for conservation of resources needed for agriculture
  • Provide students and teachers with follow-up resource materials related to agriculture
  • Introduce students to lesser-known areas of agriculture
  • Allow students to taste locally grown watermelon at snack station
