The Carroll County Agricultural Fair regained its position as the top fair in the medium sized fair category as recognized by the Virginia Associations of Fair at the annual convention on Saturday, January 14, 2023, in Williamsburg, Virginia. The fair received many first, second and third place awards. Additionally, the pageant scrapbook, premium book, photo essay board, brochure, theme and magazine award were awarded the best in show award for the best entry among all the fairs. This year the Virginia Association of Fairs added three new awards. The Daily Double awarded to the fair, in all divisions, with the highest cumulative creativity score in fair scrapbook and pageant scrapbook. The Triple Crown awarded to the fair, in all divisions, with the highest cumulative creativity score in theme, photo essay and promotional merchandise, and the most creative fair awarded to the fair, in all divisions, with the highest cumulative creativity score in all classes entered. The Carroll County Agricultural Fair won all three of the new awards and was awarded banners of recognition. Many thanks to all who help make this fair possible.
